Atlas Moderate & High-Wind Blade Set — Frequently Asked Questions

It is a set of swappable blades for the Atlas vertical wind turbine, built for windier sites. The Moderate-Wind profile works from about 4–25 m/s (up to 3.8 kW) and the High-Wind profile from about 5–35 m/s (up to 4.5 kW), letting you tune the turbine to your wind conditions.
Use the Low-Wind set for typical homes and sheltered sites (it starts at 2 m/s). Choose this Moderate/High-Wind set for exposed, consistently windy locations — windy inland and hill sites for Moderate, and coasts, ridges and very exposed sites for High-Wind.
On windy sites they raise both the output and the usable wind range, up to 3.8 kW with Moderate-Wind and 4.5 kW peak with High-Wind blades. On the Atlas turbine page you can switch blade set in the "Will it pay for itself?" calculator to compare the yearly energy for your wind speed.
Yes — they fit all Atlas vertical wind turbines and mount in place of your existing blades. They are precision laser-cut from corrosion-resistant aluminium, UV-resistant and designed for quiet, reliable operation over many years.
Yes. The Atlas is designed so you can change blade sets to match your site or the season — for example fitting High-Wind blades for stormy months. The blades attach to the same standard Atlas mount, so swapping is straightforward.
